Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost (August 13, 2023)

Monthly Potluck Social

Madonna and Child

Our next monthly potluck social will be held after Mass on Sunday, August 27. Please bring a dish to share! Crockpots welcome! A good rule of thumb is to bring twice as much food as is typically required to feed your own family.

Mass for the Feast of the Assumption

Mass will be offered at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 15 at St. Joseph’s for the Feast of the Assumption, a Holy Day of Obligation.

Latin Mass Homeschooling Group Forming

As we anticipate the beginning of a new school year, members and friends of the Lancaster Latin Mass Community are invited to be a part of a new group for Traditional Catholic homeschooling families in Lancaster.  Membership is open to active Catholic homeschooling families as well as those discerning homeschooling. This group will seek to provide fellowship and support for homeschoolers who enthusiastically embrace the Traditional Latin Mass and provide activities geared toward enriching the social, spiritual, and educational growth of mothers, children, and families.

In order to plan for the upcoming year, we will have a meeting on the Feast of the Assumption, Tuesday, August 15th, immediately following the 12 noon holy day Mass at Greider Park located at 306 Dickinson Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603. Please pack a lunch for your family and bring a dessert to share. We’ll begin with lunch, followed by a meeting for moms and playtime for the children.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Carina DeBakey at [email protected]. Likewise, if you are unable to attend the meeting but are interested in participating in the group, please let Carina know as well. Looking forward to working together to support one another on our homeschooling journey!
