Our next monthly potluck social will be held after Mass on February 2 in the Msgr. Thomas H. Smith Social Hall.
Candlemas Candle Blessings
This year Candlemas falls on a Sunday. Anyone wishing to have candles blessed may do so by bringing them to Mass on February 2nd. Father will bless all candles at the beginning of Mass at the altar.
Sarum Vespers
All are invited to Sarum Vespers at 7 p.m. on Candlemas Eve at St. Patrick Church in Philadelphia. This is probably the first time the medieval Use of Sarum (the regional form of the Latin Rite used in England before the Protestant Reformation) will have ever been publicly celebrated in an American Roman Catholic church.
