Apps Available

The Hallow App, created by a Bishop McDevitt graduate, now includes the Rosary in Latin as well as the Pater Noster, Salve Regina, Angelus, and several others.  These prayers are led by Fr. Matthew Schuster, SJC, a member of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius and associate pastor at St. John Cantius Parish in Chicago, IL.

The MyParish App, an app with information pertaining to St. Joseph Parish, now includes a button that takes you to the TLM daily readings.  Text App to phone number 88202, visit myparishapp.com, or search for “myparish” on your phone’s app store to download.

Altar Server Training

Fra. Angelico and Fr. Johannes will host an altar server training workshop for boys between the ages of 8* and 17 on Saturday, January 8 from 2:30 to 4:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Church.  A father-son social will follow at a place to be determined from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The social will be an opportunity for new boys to get better acquainted with one another and some of our current servers.

The training is aimed at those who are brand new to serving the Traditional Latin Mass, but will also include a separate section for those with prior experience who are new to serving at St. Joseph’s.  Due to the number of new families now attending the Lancaster Latin Mass, we look forward to welcoming many new fathers and sons to the Knights of the Altar Society!

Interested fathers should contact Mark O’Neill to sign-up at [email protected]  Please indicate the names/ages of your sons and their level of experience:

New – Never served the TLM before
Beginner – Served as Torch (red cassock) or Boat Bearer
Intermediate – Served as Acolyte for High Mass
Advanced -Served Low Mass and High Mass

*Boys who will receive their First Holy Communion in 2022 are welcome to attend, as well.
