Our Pastor
Rev. Joseph R. Howard

Fr. Joseph Howard has served as pastor since 2015 at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Conewago Chapel, in Hanover, PA. Fr. Howard is a native of Southern Maryland and worked as a CPA in Washington, D.C. for eleven years before pursuing his vocation. He was ordained in 2002 for the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) after attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary which was located, at that time, near Scranton, PA. While with the FSSP, he served in various positions in the Dioceses of Harrisburg, PA, Scranton, PA, and Patterson, NJ, as well as in the Archdiocese of New York. He has been a priest of the Diocese of Harrisburg since 2011.

Father Pang Tcheou is pastor of Mary, Mother of the Church in Mount Joy, PA. He was the first diocesan priest to celebrate the Mass for our community when Bishop Rhoades expanded his role as Campus Minister at Millersville University to include offering the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. After being named pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in New Holland, Fr. Tcheou departed our community, but later returned following his transfer to Mount Joy. We are grateful for his long-time and dedicated service to our community.

Father Brian Olkowski is pastor of Historic St. Mary’s Church in downtown Lancaster. Back in 2008, while still a student at Millersville University, he was among our first altar servers who trained under Father Frank Parrinello, FSSP. As such, he is considered the first vocation to come from our community. In June 2018, he became our first celebrant in-residence since our founding in 2008. In October 2018, he began our first daily Mass each Friday.
Rev. John Szada

Father Szada has served as chaplain at the Carmel of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, home to the traditional Carmelite sisters in Elysburg, PA since 2013. Fr. Szada is bi-ritual, also offering the Byzantine liturgy.

Rev. Daniel Richards

Father Richards is pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church in York, PA. While parochial vicar at St. Leo the Great parish in Rohrerstown, he served as chaplain of our community from 2013-2014. While attending Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Fr. Richards regularly served as an MC and altar server at Harrisburg’s St. Lawrence Chapel/Mater Dei Latin Mass Community under the direction of the FSSP. He graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia with a BA in Philosophy, and continued on to Mount St. Mary Seminary to complete a Master of Divinity. Fr. Richards also earned a Bachelor of Sacred Theology through the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C.
Rev. Joseph Tuscan, O.F.M. Cap.

Fr. Tuscan is a Capuchin Franciscan from the Pittsburgh province of his order. He first celebrated the Traditional Latin Mass when serving as parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish in York, PA. He later served as pastor of several parishes in West Virginia as described by Regina Magazine in this 2017 article. Today he serves as the itinerant preacher for his order and travels across the U.S. and abroad giving parish retreats, missions, and days of recollection. He conducted the Advent parish mission for our parish in November 2018 where he spread devotion to St. Padre Pio and Blessed Solanus Casey.
Fr. Samuel Miller is a graduate of Warwick High School in Lititz. He earned as Master’s degree at Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland and completed his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood. He was ordained a transitional deacon in 2018 and was ordained to the priesthood in June 2019 by Bishop Gainer. He is parochial vicar at Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill, PA.
