Father Pang Tcheou is pastor of historic St. Joseph Church on Cabbage Hill. He was the first diocesan priest to celebrate the Mass for our community when Bishop Rhoades expanded his role as Campus Minister at Millersville University to include offering the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. After being named pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in New Holland, Fr. Tcheou departed our community, but later returned following his transfer to Mount Joy. We are grateful for his long-time and dedicated service to our community.

Father Brian Olkowski is pastor of Historic St. Mary’s Church in downtown Lancaster. Back in 2008, while still a student at Millersville University, he was among our first altar servers who trained under Father Frank Parrinello, FSSP. As such, he is considered the first vocation to come from our community. In June 2018, he became our first celebrant in-residence since our founding in 2008. In October 2018, he began our first daily Mass each Friday.

Assisting Clergy

Steve Shope

Steve Shope – Instituted Acolyte
[email protected]

Steve grew up in the Episcopal Church but later transitioned to a traditional Anglican church where he was made a deacon.  Becoming convinced of the truth of the Catholic Church, Steve entered in 1999 at St Francis of Assisi Church in Bend, OR.  He developed an interest in traditional liturgy and was among the founders of the Society of St. Gregory the Great, which continues to promote the Traditional Latin Mass in the Diocese of Baker, Oregon.  While at St. Francis Church, then-bishop, Robert F. Vasa, (now in Santa Rosa, CA) made Steve an Instituted Acolyte. In this role, Steve is permitted to chant the epistle at High Mass and serve in the capacity of Subdeacon at a Solemn High Mass, but with certain limitations — he must not touch the insides of the sacred vessels.  Subdeacon is the highest of the minor orders –the others being porter, lector, exorcist, and acolyte.  Steve also serves as a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for our community.
